The Tennessee Titans and coach Jeff Fisher parted ways Thursday, leaving the team without a head coach and a quarterback.
I've already said who I want to play QB: Donovan McNabb.
But who would be the best fit for the head coaching position?
Bill Cowher.
The former Super Bowl-winning coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers would not require a change of philosophy. Great Defense. Run the ball. The same formula the team has used the past several years, especially since Steve McNair's exit.
He's a proven winner and would be my pick to turn the franchise back into a perennial contender.

Golden Globe Lock: Christian Bale
The Best Supporting Actor category has been the easiest to predict the last few years: Javier Bardem for No Country For Old Men, Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, and Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds.
This year will be no different. Christian Bale is what makes The Fighter one of 2010's best movies. Bale plays Dicky Eklund, the brother of Mark Wahlberg's character. Because of Dicky's drug addiction, he had to drastically alter his appearance, which he seems to have no problem doing (Watch The Machinist). His scenes are intense, and his Boston accent/mannerisms are spot on.
He steals the movie from Wahlberg. And the more I watch him, the more I think he's the best actor on the planet right now.

So what if the facts or beginnings of the founding of Facebook were skewed. It's Hollywood. And that turned it into a fascinating story about this generation's most popular creation.
The only other film that has even an outside chance is The King's Speech, but it's not going to win.

Sunday's Divisional Round
I'm 4-0 so far this postseason. Too crunched for time to pick the first two games, which I would have split. I didn't have the Seahawks knocking off the Saints. So let's just say I'm 5-1.
Seattle @ Chicago
Of course you can't count out the Seahawks after essentially winning consecutive playoff games (Week 17 against the Rams clinched the division). But now they're on the road. They did beat the Bears at Soldier Field in Week 6, but I have more confidence in Chicago's defense than I do in Matt Hasselbeck. If Cutler doesn't fuck it up, which is always a possibility. Definitely going for Seattle, though.

Rex Ryan is my favorite coach in sports. The Patriots are one of my least favorite teams in sports. But Mark Sanchez isn't that good, especially in cold weather. I think they'll keep it a lot closer than 45-3, but New England's tight ends will have a huge game and pull it out in the second half.

Pittsburgh is the better team. Better run defense. I give Troy Polamalu a slight edge over Ed Reed at safety. It's in Pittsburgh. And most importantly they have a better QB. This match-up is always a toss-up, but I give the advantage to the Steelers. But I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way.

Who The Titans Should Sign
The Tennessee Titans have made two good moves so far. They kept coach Jeff Fisher and got rid of Vince Young. Young won a lot of games as starting QB (30-17). But how many of those games did the team win because of him? Not nearly that many. His maturity level was never proven and showed he couldn't handle adversity. Peace out.
1. Quarterback is the most important position in sports. There's only one guy available that's been one of the five best at the position in the last decade: Donovan McNabb. His time in Washington is over. Bring him to Nashville to work with emerging superstar WR Kenny Britt. The Titans still have the best RB in the NFL, Chris Johnson. Adding a legitimate QB to the mix with championship experience instantly improves a stagnant offense.
2. The Titans went 13-3 in the 2008 season. No one could run the ball against the defense. Our defensive ends performed well above their skill level. And three of the four starters in the secondary went to the Pro Bowl. In the following two seasons, the defense hasn't been able to get off the field. The difference came from losing one player: Albert Haynesworth. He was never happy playing in Mike Shanahan's 3-4 defense in Washington and wants to come back where he started his career. And the Titans need him. His wide frame plugs up the running lanes inside and must be double-teamed. That gives the ends one-on-ones, so they can get consistent pressure. And that hides the inability of Cortland Finnegan and Chris Hope to cover anyone with talent.
Those two moves would put a team that was 5-2 earlier this season in position to dethrone the Colts as the AFC South's best team. Make it happen, Reinfeldt.

NFL Wild Card Sunday
I'm glad I didn't post predictions before yesterday's shocking results. But here goes for today's match-ups
Baltimore @ Kansas City
The Chiefs have had an incredible turnaround. And they have a great home field advantage at Arrowhead. They have the best rushing attack in the League with Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones. They have a quarterback that hasn't turned the ball over much this season. And they have my favorite player in safety Eric Berry. On paper, the Chiefs have the advantage.
But am I picking against Ray Lewis and the Ravens defense? Not a chance.
Ravens 20, Chiefs 17
Green Bay @ Philadelphia
Michael Vick has been the best story of the season. He's back from serving jail time and is far superior to where he was with the Falcons. He's regained his speed and improved his passing accuracy. Plus, the Eagles have the offensive weapons with McCoy in the backfield and the DeSean Jackson/Jeremy Maclin combo on the outside. I'm just not sure their defense can stop Aaron Rodgers. And I think Clay Matthews has a big game for the Packers D and helps contain Vick. I'm taking Green Bay by a field goal.
